I have read all the other 89 posts about this subject and tried just about
everything on there and still can't get the problem solved. This is the
message I get - Task ‘mail.tribalattitude.org – Sending’ reported error
(0x800CC0F): ‘The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem
continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider
(ISP).’ All of this just started when I loaded Outlook 2003. I tried going
back to Express and now I get the same message from it too. Thanks for any
ideas Chrisitne

Do you have any anti-virus software that scans your incoming and outgoing
email? Such software seems to be the most common cause of this problem at
present. If you have such software, turn off the mail scanning (it may
require uninstalling the A/V software, then reinstalling without the scan
options checked).

You uninstalled and rebooted the computer? If so, then it's probably not
Norton. Do you have any firewall installed that scans email messages?
Some of them have been known to cause this problem as well.

Look at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;813514,
which includes some troubleshooting tips for problems like this.
