Can recieve but not send mail (O 2003)

Hi,

I use XP, Outlook 2003 and an imap account.

I have recently started this account (I have tried making a new acount,
restart computer, router etc) since my Internet supplier changed servers. As
usual this particular problem is not on their end but an Outlook problem. So
I try here...

I can recieve mails but I cannot send mails. I get this answer:

'(the person I sent it to)' (date:) 2008-07-28 10:28
554 5.7.1 <(mailadresstorecipient)@telia.com>: Relay access denied

Help anyone? I can use webmail but through there I can only send mails below
2 MB and that's a problem.

Help....

A relaying denied message means that you are talking to an SMTP server.
Here are some things I would check...

1) Double check your account settings for the SMTP server (e.g. double check
smtp server name, option about having to authenticate to the mail server in
order to send mail and/or the port in which you talk to the SMTP server
[e.g. should it be port 25 or 587])

2) Verify with ISP that what you have typed in for the SMTP settings are
correct and/or is there any other special conditions that have to be met in
order to send thru them. (e.g. Some people will connect to another internet
provider [e.g. AOL] by accident and then try to send e-mail thru a different
ISP).
