I can receive e-mail but when I reply to the message it
comes back "Undeliverable: The following recipients
couldn't be reached: 550 5.7.1 <my outlook e-mail
address> ...we do not relay <email of person I am
replying to>

Please advise.

solved: problem involved settings found in "Internet E-
mail Settings" The host vendor provided specific IMAP &
SMTP numbers to be used in place of the defaults.

You're not properly authenticating to your outgoing server.
