Why would you need to dial with DSL? It should be online all the time.
Even if not, the connection is handled by the connection defined in your
Network Connections folder.
You need an analog dial-up modem and a DSL line filter to do that. Your DSL
modem isn't a modem, it's a network interface device and knows nothing about
dialing. Such a modem should also allow you to send Faxes, something else
you can't do with a DSL "modem".
