I have a couple of rental properties abroad and have a simple Excel
spreadsheet with details of the booking, client, deposit paid, date balance
due etc. Is there any way that this can be linked to Outlook as a task or in
the calendar to alert me on the due date to remind me to chase the client for
payment of their balance?

Thnaks for your reply. I have Excel 2003 SP3, part of Office Professional
2003. I have Business Manager too but haven't had time to see what it does,
but wonder if that would help?

BCM would give you reminders but its not going to replace the functionality
of Excel (IMHO). I think I'd go with a VBA solution in Excel.

Ok Many thanks. This is a steep learning curve for me, but I used to be in IT
(pre-children!!) so I think I can cope. I've done a quick google on VBA and
see that it is Visual Basic used in macros in Excel. Have found
http://www.neng.usu.edu/cee/faculty/gurro/VBA&Excel.htm which looks useful
but any info you can give me on how I can get up to speed with this quickly
so I can programme something useful would be much appreciated. Can I do it
within Excel? If so where do I start?
