Can other colors be added to the font pulldown pallet?

I would like to add 1 or 2 other colors to the pulldown font color pallet to
avoid having to into the "other colors" window. Can the standard pallet be
modified to do this?

No, not literally.

But you can define a character style in which the only formatting it applies
is the font color, and that color can be one you get from the "more colors"
dialog. Create a separate character style for each custom color.

What version of Word. It is partially possible in Word 2007; I forget the
details off the top of my head but PowerPoint MVP Echo Swinford shows how to
