Can only map 10 drives and need more

I have a need to map multiple drives using a WinXP Pro.
I have been successful with the first 10 drives mapped,
but when I attempt to map an 11th drive, I am unable. I
have searched the knowledge base for restrictions as well
as google and have not located information related to
such. Have you experienced this or know of relative
information?
