Can not start default FTP

I installed IIS without FTP at first. And then, I installed visual studio
2003. I found my project needs FTP service. So, I installed FTP by adding
windows component. But I can not start deault FTP. When I click the start
button, an error information "The request is not supported" came up.

Could anybody can tell me how can I start my FTP service?

Need more information on this one. Check your Event Viewer in your
Administrative Tools

Has both client and server components.

As said, not sure what your requirements are but this will meet most FTP
needs, plus it's more secure than most.
