can not select above 640x480. Video driver installed

I recently installed XP from scratch (and installed
drivers) on a newly purchased machine.

When I connect my Boxlight 12sf projector (infocus
screenplay 110) I can not select any resolution greater
than 640x480. This projector worked without flaw under
windows 98 using the generic 1024 monitor driver.

When I connect mySony multiscan 15sf II prior to booting
the machine I can select from a variety of resolutions
greater than 640x480. i.e. everything works the way it
should

The video card is an on-board 64 meg intel
82845/g/gl/ge/pe/gv with the driver loaded (6.13.01.3442).

Can you please tell me where I am going wrong? thanks for
the help.

See if you can get an updated Boxlight driver.

| It maybe that you need to reinstall your projector or get
| a new hardwear card that is compatible with the new os.

The video card is integrated onto the MotherBoard. The
projector has no video driver. The projector instructions
say to select plug and play monitor. I have selected the
generic monitor 1024 in the past with no problems.

For some reason with XP and the projector I can not go
above 640x480.

Try this. Set your refresh rate to 60 and see if you can adjust the
resolution.

All you need to do is reinstall your video card driver.
Also there is a check box "hide modes this monitor cannot
support" Try unchecking that.

I have re-installed the video card driver several times
with the latest out there.

I tried unchecking the box for unsupported modes, still I
can not select anything greater than 640x480.

Is there any way I can force XP to a resolution of my
choice since I know what the projector supports?

thanks.
