Can not resume after standby

After my laptop goes into standby mode, i can not resume it
no matter what button i press. The HDD is running but the
screen, nothing,dark-black-blank screen. What possible can
happen??
 
Can you turn it off? If so leave it off for a few minutes and try restarting
it.
 
I don't know what OS u're running on it but try doing a
search for removing the hibernate option. I had that
problem before & it worked for me.
