can not restore C:\WINNT\NTDS\ntds.dit

I have a bad disk in which the ntds.dit file is corrupt.
There is not a backup. Is there a way to rebuild the
file from scratch or restart the file.

NTDSUtile / restore and repair do not work

Ontrack recovery may be able to do this for you.

Hello Stewart.

Because the NTDS.DIT file is the Active Directory's database and it is
corrupt, all domain data has been lost. Because you do not have a tape
backup of the Active Directory or another domain controller (replication
partner), your only recourse is to create a new replacement domain.
