Can not open standard folders in outlook

Guest

Hello,

I am attempting to install outlook 2002 on a machine running xp. The machine
did have a previous version of outlook 2003 that was uninstalled by the
previous owner of the PC. Outlook appears to install correctly but when I
open outlook, the default folders (outlook today, inbox, outbox, deleted
items, etc.) will not open.

Thank you,

Fred

Not surprising. The folder file created by Outlook 2003 is not readable by
Outlook 2002. YOu need to create a new mail profile using the Mail applet
in COntrol Panel and create a new Personal Folders File (PST) to go with it.
