When trying to open a 'snp' file attached to the message, it automatically
opens in Notepad. I'm needing it to open in our Snapshot Viewer. Previously,
I haven't had any problems with this format, but now, every file this type
will only open in Notepad. It has to be a problem with Outlook b/c no one
else has any trouble opening the file.

thanks

A snp (snap) file can be opened with the viewer or with Access. Are you sure
it's Outlook or just a missing file association? Do you know how to check?
Let me know.

I'm not sure how to check the file association. I haven't had problems before
and everyone else can open it.

thanks

If you have a Network Admin or help desk they can do this for you. If not,
open Windows Explorer and click on Tools, Folder Options, then click on the
File Type tab. Make sure you see SNP files and associate them with the SNP
viewer.
If you have access, you can open the application and then force the snap
file to open through access by using file, open.

If I remember correctly the SNP viewer simply allows an Office standard user
to view an Access file (part of Office Professional). If you have the viewer
installed, you should only have to associate the file.
