Can not open BE

When running Acc 2000 and opening a FE mdb that links to
a BE mdb, I receive a Can not open the BE because it is
being used "Exclusive" by another user
I am running Windows XP Rel 2 and a home network.
When I open FE on the master computer it works OK but
when I close the FE and go to another computer the BE
will not open. ??????
 
windows user rights problem,
your user (machine 2) has only got read access to the shared folder
