User has main drive....F connected to server.....All other PCs operating
fine....User can ping server......When user trys to open this mapped drive a
dialog box comes up and states "The device is not ready".......Can not delete
the mapped drive...get another dialog box stating "The Network connection
could not be found".....You can pick another drive letter and connect to
where this drive was connected....This option is not possible. The drive is
the main drive for all of our projects and these projects have multiple files
referenced in from this designated drive letter F......

Any suggestions?

working w/ people and computers.....ya gotta love it...I solved the issue and
this is a good note for helpdesk people to remember.....she was using a flash
drive and not safely removing the device......when she finished she just
pulled it out....each time she would use it and not remove it properly it
would assign a new drive letter and it didn't care if that drive was already
taken....so it took over her F drive...

Is the network actually functioning? Can other systems access that server
location? Does that system have a working network card and cabling? Have
you done a cold restart of that system?

And you might find this helpful:
