Can not install .NET framework

The Microsoft Update tool indicates me that I could
install the .NET framework on my system, but installation
fails. I have also tried to download the framework and
install it manually, but without success either. Any
suggestions?

Hi,

Is there an error message? What is it?

Locate the WindowsUpdate.log file under \Windows or \Winnt. Open it and
scroll to the bottom. Look at the error codes and compare them against this
site:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/
