Can not get the($%^* #!!( %*#& network going -AAAARRRRGGGHHH HELP

I can not get one of my computers to release a private address - it is
racking my brain - Can someone just tell me how to get that D$%# thing
released - I ipconfig released and now there is nothing with the IP
configuration - but it still will read the private address with I go to a
different user - Man - I really screwed this one up - PLEASE HELP

An Automatic Private IP Address - 169.254.x.x - cannot be released by
ipconfig /release because it has not been assigned by a DHCP server. If
there is a DHCP server on the network, use ipconfig /renew. This will force
the adapter to again try to obtain an address from the server. If the
client gets no response from a server, it will again assign itself a private
address. In this case you can try manually assigning an IP address.
