Can not download with ie

When I try to download anything with ie I get an error
message can not find file. Ive tried to delweyte and
reinstal an still nothing
.. Other browsers work fine downloading but since Microsoft
thinkls they own the internet a lot of sites now will only
accept ie as a browser and reject you if you are useing
something else. I have to fix this. I am running XP home is
ther some kind of setting to fix this annoying problem? I
am one very POed user the internet was fine b4 Microsoft
took it over They got to ruin everything
