Can not delete a contact

Several months ago I added a contact with a 'address not verified' in their
email.

I now can not delete this contact from my list - when I try, I get an error
telling me it can not be deleted and then I'm signed out of Messenger (5.0)

How can I delete this contact or who should I email about this?

OK, after further playing around it seems that this is ONLY a problem in
Windows Messenger, if I install MSN messenger then I can delete the
contact....

So install MSN messenger,
Delete the contact
Uninstall MSN messenger
