Hi!;
I'm facing a problem regarding the Windows XP Pro networking problem. I have
a laptop that running Win XP Pro with Service pack 1a. When this laptop want
to link or access to other PC through from my network places, the system
shown me I don't have the administrator permission to access the destination
host. However I'm the administrator for that laptop and I didn't set any
access permission for the destination host, so by right every one can access
to the destination host without any permission control through from network.
I used my laptop and try to use ping command to ping other PC in the LAN
network. I noticed that only PC that running Win 2000 Pro and Win XP will
replay the ping, for PC that running Win 9X will not reply the job. If I'm
using other PC that running win9X to ping my laptop, other PC also can not
reply the network from my laptop. I haven't install any firewall program in
my laptop. So I don't think is firewall block the incoming & outgoing network
traffic. This is a quite strange problem for me. So I would like to know
anyone has the idea to solve the problem?
Thanks & Regards
