Hi Friends,

I recently can not access some share folders on a file server. the
share
folders have special permissions (only some domain groups allowed, i
was a member of that group).

but i could access for some other public folders (on the same server
which
everyone could access)

the strange thing is after i try to login to another workstation, there
is no
problem for me to access that folders on our windows 2003 server.

so i remove my windows XP (SP2) workstation from domain and add again,
but the problem
stills.

could somebody please help me on this issue?

Thanks,
John

HI John,

From what you mentioned it seemd that you are able to access that folders
when accessing it from different PC. If this is so then the problem would
most probably of your profile that has been created on that System. If you
are member of domain then your profile is a romaing profile , hence you
should not face this problem. However removing the current profile and
getting new one would solve this problem. You may contact your
Networkadministrator in this matter.

Hope this information help you.

Hi Jiger,

Thanks for your kindly help! i think my profile should be a romaing
profile. and my colleagues using my user name to map that share
folders it' works.

so you mean i could delete my user profile stored in my pc ? or
recreate my romaing profile?

Thanks again,
John
