can noit search in address line - HELP!

I can no longer search in the address line on IE6. My
current browser open will lock up when I try to drop down
the recent entries in the address bar or type anything
in. I have scanned for viruses with latest defs and
scanned for spy software. I did have W32.spybot.worm and
it was quarantined but I think I still have remnants of
that may have caused system damage. Anybody know what
might have been done and how to reverse it?

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
