What is the best way to recover from the following errors, after an
installation of a device failed a long time ago:
"You can install only one device at a time. Another device
installaton is underway. -- when finished, you can try this wizard
again."
This message has appeared when I attempt to install USB devices, or
even install software.
Perhaps related, Norton Anti-Virus 2006 becomes disabled soon after
powering up. There is a message from Config Wiz (of Norton AnitVirus):
"Another instance of the wizard is running."
I am not able to sync a Palm device to the Palm Desktop software:
"The connection between your device and the desktop could not be
established. Check your setup and try again."
These errors started to appear as much as two months ago.
IBM Thinkpad laptop, very new.
