Can I use System Restore to "undo" an Office Installation?

Hi people,
We know that System Restore can be use to roll back changes e.g. after
installing a software but can i use it to "undo" the Office SP3
installation if something goes wrong? I have the installer but have
yet to install it.

Yes, you can, sort of. It would be better if you un-installed the
update, then did a system restore.
The *best* way to recover exactly what you had befroe the update would
be to image your hard before the update, and then restore the image if
things go pear shaped.

Backup is your friend!

Hi,

I would not advise this. The recommended way to remove Office 2003 service
packs from your computer, you must remove all the Office 2003 programs and
then reinstall all the Office 2003 programs from your original Office 2003
CD-ROM.

You cannot remove service packs for Office 2003 products
