can i use office 2000 powerpoint for windows xp

i purchased my computerwith microsoft offfice xp/sbe. it came with microsoft
publisher, but not powerpoint. can i use the microsoft office 2000
professional disk to install powerpoint, or must i purshase the full version
of powerpoint for the program to work?

Do you have CDs for both versions of Office? If so, uninstall Office XP,
install PowerPoint from Office 2000, then install Office XP again, making sure
to do a CUSTOM install and tell it not to remove the PPT bits.

If you don't have a CD that'll allow you to reinstall XP, it might be best to
get the full version of PPT (or if a reasonable price is available, get the
upgrade to 2003 ... 2003 SBE includes PPT). Check first to see that 2003 SBE
doesn't leave out something else you need, though.
