Can I upgarde my graphics card?

I have a ATI pro 9700 running in a agp 4x slot on a PIV 3.0 ghz, with
1 gig ram. Thinking about buying a new card to improve graphics

- is it possible to get an improvement using the agp 4x slot
- if so, what are the best cards to buy (was looking ata NVIDAI 9800
GT)

There is no such thing as an nVidia 9800 GT. You must be confused with
the nVidia 6600GT or the lesserknown 6800GT. I'm pretty sure there are
some versions of the cards that will work in a 4x/8x slot.

I have a Leadtek A 6600GT TDH AGP card in a 4x AGP slot and it's working
fine.

Ah, thanks for the follow up, Jerry. Wasn't clear on the matter of the
GeForce 6 cards working in 4X AGP slots.

Might i suggest a more modern card such as the Nvidia FX 6600GT.
