Can I store tasks,calendar & contacts locally & keep mail on my s.

I want to keep my tasks, calendar, and contacts private from by employer. In
addition, I want to be able to have the data on on laptap to take home to use
there for sending mail and downloading my palm pilot.

My employer has set up mail to be stored on the main server at work.

Is there a way to leave the mail on the server, but store the tasks,
calendar, and contacts locally on my laptop?
