can i slipstream without original disc?

as the subject stated. i want to make a back up cd of windows xp b
slipstreaming it with the service pack 2 like shown here

anyways, my question is can i do it with just the C:\I386 file instea
of the original XP disc? my computer never came with one, and i can'
find a link to buy a replacement cd on the hp website.

Yes you can.

Point nlite, or your slipstreaming program to the i386 directory. Or
better, a second copy of the i386 directory.
