Can I save addresses for people i send letters to often?

I have people I send letters to once or twice a week. Every time I start the
letter wizzard I have to re-enter the addresses. Can I store these addresses
in a file somewhere and have Word get the info from the file?

How many people?
Outlook is the obvious choice. You could then use the insert address tool
(or add the macro at http://www.gmayor.com/Macrobutton.htm to your
letterhead template, then avoid the letter wizard altogether - see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Letterhead.htm .)

If it is only a few people, save their formatted addresses as autotext (or
autocorrect) entries.
