Can I save a custom color in Word 2003?

I'm trying to save several custom RGB colors for repeat use in a custom
template using Word 2003 for both graphic and font use. I can create the
color but it will not save or add itself to the color palette. Any idea how I
get the color to show up so I don't to recreate from scratch each time?

For fonts, the best approach is to define a character style using the custom
color and apply that as needed. If you use this for a particular paragraph
style, add the color to the paragraph style. For graphics, you could save
generic AutoShapes with the custom color as AutoText entries.
