Can I safely remove collections from the collection pane?

I have experimented with most of the features of WMM and now I feel free to
make a movie. Unfortunately I should have read more of the liturature before
I deleted files and follders containing source files.
I intend to recapture the video from my camera choosing DV-AVI option. But
before I begin I'd like to know if new links will be created for the new
clips and what happens to the old ones that I deleted. Will there be any
kind of conflict? At the present time I see the following in the collection
pane:
Collections
Video Effects
Video Transitions
Collections
I hope this makes some sense.

If you are not planning to use any source files
that may remain in your collections folder...delete
them. Deleting clips from your collections folders
does not remove them from your hard drive.

Sounds like you are ready to begin importing video.
