Can I restrict formatting changes in a PowerPoint document?

In creating a PowerPoint document that will be used by multiple users, is
there a way in which I can restrict changes being made to the format? I know
this is possible in WORD, but is this feature available in PowerPoint. Thx.

The easiset way is to save your file as pps
another way is to package your PPT to CD. I think it is more safer

Thanks for your help. Yes, the folks need to be able to edit the doc, but
after spending numerous hours creating styles, I wanted to make sure that the
end users couldn't change it (like in Word - you can restrict people changing
styles).
Thanks for your help and take care.

If you want to just completely "lock" the presentation (that is, if the
users don't need to be able to make any changes at all), there are a number
of options. See

Sorry, no, if they need to be able to edit, then it's just not possible --
there's no "in between" in PPT.

If you want to drop me an email at echos at indy dot net, I can show you an
add-in that might help in a corporate setting, though.
