Can I replace Vista with XP?

SATA HDD. I haven't built a system in quite a few years so I'm not
well-versed in the latest hardware (I've switched to spending my money on
digital cameras and lenses) so I wasn't aware of an option like this but
sure enough, it's a setting in the BIOS.
