Hi All,

I can open my Outlook, then as I try to download messages or utilize the
calendar, the program stalls and eventually comes back as "not responding".
It tells me that it cannot access a file, which if I recall correctly is an
office.dat file. So, I backed up my emails and tried the "Detect and Repair"
which does nothing except reinstall itself over and over again - it doesn't
detect or repair anything. I've resorted to uninstalling office, and
installing again, but for some reason, when I reinstall it picks up all the
emails and calendar, etc. that I had before - same issue?!?! Any thoughts??

the items are stored in a *.pst file - usually called outlook.pst.

Which mode of outlook 2000 do you have? See help, about if you aren't
sure... The best thing for you is to make a new profile, but the steps to do
so vary, depending on the mode.
