Can I remove logon password expiry?

Guest

Using XP Pro with multiple family users.
Each of us has a logon name and password but we don't want to change the
passwords every xx days.

I understand that the number of days between expiry prompts can be changed
but don't know how to do it. Can anyone advise, or tell me how to disable to
expiry prompt altogether?

TIA

Go to Control Panel - User Accounts - Advanced Options - Advanced Options
(again) - Users - Choose the user and right click it and choose Properties
Then select password never expires.

I'm confused. I went to Control Panel >> User Accounts, but all I
see is the icon of each existing account. I don't see any menu at
all and nothing for Advanced Options.

If I select a particular user I get a couple more choices but again
no menu and no "Advanced Options" button.

What am I missing?

It's not accessible from users in control panel. Go to Start | Run.
Type in "control userpasswords2" without the quotes. Click ok. Then
follow his directions.
