Can I refill my Lexmark 13T0101?

I have an old Lexmark Optra E312. It's been with me many years and I
love it. The toner cartridge is running low and gosh is it expensive!
Is there any way I can refill it or does anyone have a place that I can
buy a cartridge for decently cheap. I don't want to replace my
printer, but if it's $180 for a cartridge I just might.

Thanks for any info you guys can provide!

There is always Lasermonks, they them selves don't refill the 13T0101
but they do have an option in the $80 range.

I'm not up on the Lexmarks, but something like the E320 E322 would need
a replacement chip, but I doubt that's required on the E312.

I have no experence what so ever with these guys. Some drilling or
meling is required.

The cartridge appears to be the same as used in the Samsung ML5100A.
A google for this came up with
http://meritline.stores.yahoo.net/toner-cartridges-toners-cartridge-refill-kits-samsung.html
who sell refill kits for this cartridge.
You may find a supplier nearer to you with a bit more research, be sure to
check with the supplier that the kit really will work with the Lexmark 13T0101
cartridge.
Good luck

Yes.... we know you'd like to forget that I saved $1000 (Canadian) last
year by refilling my 3 Canon printers. $1000 is a HUGE amount of money
saved. Each time I refilled and didn't buy a set of Canon cartridges, I
saved close to a hundred dollars and put it to better use, like driving
around in a chauffeured limo. . . ;-)

The *really* sad part of this is that he hasn't the wit to realise that the
printer in question is a Laser!
Almost all laser toner cartridges are worth remanufacturing using
professionally branded toner and other components. The savings per cartridge
make inkjet refill savings look almost trivial. The savings per page may not be
significantly different however, I have never calculated that.
