Can I move outlook.pst file?

I have office installed on a partition separate from my windows installation
so I thought I would be safe but I being told I do not have enough room on
this partition for windows to work. Can I move the pst file to another
location? I went through and deleted all the old stuff after I exported it
to another drive. For some reason the outlook.pst file is still > 420mbs! If
I can't move if how can I reduce if deleting the files didn't change the
size?

But I mostly want to know if I can move it from: F:\Documents and
Settings\*******\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook to my C:\
drive!

Thanks

Your .PST file probably needs to be compacted. After emptying the Deleted
Items folder, right click the root folder of the .PST file in the folder
list, select Properties, then Advanced, then Compact Now. See if that
changes the size of the file.

If you still want to move it, just close Outlook and move it where you want
it. When you reopen Outlook, it will complain that it can't find the file --
point it in the right direction.
