Can I Mirror HDD which has bad sectors

I have a Win2k server has one SATA hard drive. This server had problems and
wouldn't boot until I ran chkdsk to repair sector damage. I would like to
add a second Hard drive and create a software RAID 1 mirror for redundancy.
Will this cause a problem? I ask because as far as I know creating a mirror
copies sector by sector.

Running a server disk with bad sectors is a bad idea.
Replace it while you can, then build your mirror.

If you used chkdsk, all the damaged sectors are marked and no more used. I
would sudjest to ghost your disk to a new one and then use a second disk to
create a mirror.
