Can I merge "All Users" with "All Users.WINNT"?

I have inherited a laptop which has (under "C:/Documents and
Settings"), entries for "All Users" and "All Users.WINNT", as well as
"Default User" and "Default User.WINNT", and "Administrator" and
"Administrator.OKM-C610-01"

Other posts indicate that the "XXX" part of a directory "<userid>.XXX"
may be a domain of which the laptop is or was a member, but since this
laptop has been around the block (and around the corporate network)
it's probably belonged to several domains. When I logon as myself &
explore the Start menu (All Users), it opens the "All Users.WINNT"
tree.

Can I (or should I) merge, copy or move all the stuff under "All
Users" into "All Users.WINNT" ?? There's some stuff under "All
Users/Start menu" that I would like to have under the REAL "All users"
start menu, whatever the heck that is. I've just been moving
individual shortcuts when needed, but taking a more global view leads
me to believe that a lemming-like migration may be a better long-term
solution.

Tanks sin nad vants.

If you adjust the "ProfileImagePath" of all accounts and merge/delete
similar logins. See tip 2240 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com
for the basic technique.
