Can I make a slide show of pics in an email

Sure. Save the pictures to your computer, make a slideshow in a program that
lets you do that, then save that and email it.

You could always use online photo storage and send people the link to it,
that way people don't have to wait for email to load it.
 
You might want to take a look at a 3rd party add-in called Picture
Attachments Wizard that lets you do slide shows and other things with picture
