I read an article in PC World or PC Mag. for got which. It spoke of dual
booting XP & Vista on the same system.
It mentioned either partioning your HD or using another HD. What I would
like ot know is is this only possible w/a hardwired HD or could I install XP
on an external USB drive? I have an 160GB external drive that I currently
have not connected.

TIA

The official answer is that external drives are not supported and the
install should not work.

However they may be a work around. Personally, I have not seen one.

I would suspect an external SATA drive shouldn't be too difficult to get
working, but neither USB nor Firewire will work as the OS unloads and
reloads those drivers doing bootup.

Sorry Michael, but could it work in a channel connected notebook
docking station?
