Can I install 32-bit driver 0n 64-bit processor?

I am trying to install the 32-bit driver on a 64-bit processor. Iam not using
Windows X64 because the driver are not compatible. So I change to Windows XP
32-bit knowing that i won't be able to feel the 64-bittness. I would like
ask, if I install the windows XP 32-bit and install hardwares, would the
hardware install on Windows XP 32-bit?

What is the processor? If 32-bit XP installs and runs, and if the hardware
is actually compatible with XP, it shouldn't be a problem.
