Can I import from ULTRAPLS?

A co-worker has a relatively old (1989?) but valuable database, the data and
structure of which I want to have accessible to/convert to Access. I keep
getting error messages that say that the ULTRAPLS is an "unexpected" format.
I have installed ULTRAPLS.EXE and several databases in this format, and they
operate just fine on their own (independent of Access). I've tried "Open
With..." Access and get the error message. Do you know of any way that I can
preserve the data and basic relationships among the databases from ULTRAPLS
and use it in Access? If this is a pie-in-the-sky request, please enlighten
me.

You'll need to export the data from ULTRAPLS to a common format that
Access can import, such as CSV or DBF files (both of which were around
in the 1980s).

If ULTRAPLS doesn't have an export facility, with luck it will be
possible to set it up to use a "text only" printer driver and redirect
this to a text file, then print all the data. The resulting files can
then be munged (with more or less difficulty) into a form that Access
can import.

Everything else - all the relationships and forms and other
functionality of the databases - will have to be re-created from
scratch, using Access's concepts and tools.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
