Can I have a network id and a workgroup

I am setting up a laptop to connect to a docking station in the office and
connect to the office domain using the LAN connection. I also want to be
able to connect to a workgroup when I am at one of our other offices that
uses workgroups to network. Do I have to change my network id under Computer
Name each time or is there another way to do this? I am running Windows XP
Pro Version 2002 with Service Pack 2.

Thanks, Jack, for taking the time to reply. I have read this article and
couldn't figure out how to set the computer as a member of a workgroup and a
domain at the same time.

Moving from a domain to a workgroup, without effort, is not a simple task.

Note the issues involved.
