Can I Export the "File As" field from Outlook 2003?

I exported my contact list from Outlook 2003, however the "File As" field is
not inlcuded so when I import to another machine, I have to manually change
900+ contacts to be filed the way I want them. My question then is "Can I
Export the "File As" field from Outlook 2003"?

Some answers and comments to the requirement you posed.

Re: Can you export (or Import) <FileAs> ?

a#1) - Not using Outlook's import/export wizard
a#2) - A free export utility from CodeTwo will let you export the FileAs
field http://www.codetwo.com/freeware/outlook-export/
a#3) - ContactGenie Exporter will also export the <FileAs> (but not free) -

Now the comments for the flip side of your requirement (import):

#1 - as mentioned - no facility to import FA via Outlook
#2 - FA is a derived field so when adding a new contact - Outlook sets the
value of FA automatically to its own default setting when the contact is
saved
#3 - You may find ContactGenie Importer of interest - let's you import and
set the <FileAs> value based on the contents of your import data (same
applies to CG DataPorter but that would be total overkill for what you
describe)

Having said all of the above..........................

Instead of using Export/Import at all (either via Outlook or any 3rd party
utility - ours included) - other option would have been/be to simply copy
the contacts to another folder in a different PST, open the new PST on the
new machine and copy the contacts back to your default Outlook contacts
folder (or just copy your existing PST file to the new machine and copy the
contacts to whereever you want). This would have been/be my
recommended solution.
