Can I export Outlook emails as EML or HTML?

For archiving purposes -- totally independent of MS Office -- I want to
export important emails in some generic (non-Microsoft-dependent) file format
such as HTML or EML. Think brokerage confirmation emails, for example, that
need to be saved 10 or 20 years.

Is it possible?
