Can I expand "All Programs"?

G

Gator

I have so many programs that the All Programs list in my
Start Menu extends all the way off the right side of the
screen. The icons of the rightmost column of the list are
partially visible, and I can get the apps to open by
clicking on the partial icon (but I cannot see what they
are until they open).

The All Programs window sits cocked into the lower right
corner of my screen, but it cannot be dragged or
expanded. I realize that I could maybe group them or use
the classic Start Menu style to solve this, but I would
rather simply expand or shift the window to the left--it
obviously exists expanded anyway because those partial
icons are viable.

Is there such a solution? Thanks

The solution is to use "common sense", which you don't
show an abundance of!

Right click on "Start", then on "Open All Users". Then
double click (that is twice - click - click)Programs.

You will see every program that you have ever installed
for "All Users". Create a new folder (I'm NOT going to
tell you how to do THAT - you've got to learn some things
for yourself) called utility. Put all the utility
programs in that one folder (not going to tell you how to
do that either).

Now create other folders called "applications, music,
drawing, CD Programs, DVD Programs or whatever you want
to call them. Then move the respective programs into
these folders.

Is the list of programs getting smaller now? Keep at it
and use your imagination. There is no reason that you
can't have everything you ever installed in only 6-8 sub
folders.

Now, do the same for the "Open" button. The programs in
there are the ones you installed just for you (different
account from "All Users".

Now when you click on the start button and go
to "Programs", you should see 6-8 folders and damn few
programs. Can you remember where you placed what you
want? Probably NOT, but hey, I tried!

It seems to me that your so-called "common Sense" would require that you
comprehend what you read before you spew the condescending crap you probably
call "helping."
If you had read my query before taking all that time to write for your own
sad ego, you would have noticed the part that says "I realize that I could
group them..." That means, for the benefit of anything who would call
himself "onewhoknows," that means that I had already considered grouping
them into folders, but would prefer to configure the "All Programs" window
to fit the size of my screen, or be draggable, if possible. Obviously you
don't "know" that, so please **** off with your bullshit.
