Can I Download My Hotmail Inbox into Outlook?

I tried to set up my Outlook 2003 Inbox to sync with my hotmail account and
got a message that "Access to Hotmail via Outlook and Outlook Express now
requires a subscription. Please sign up at
http://join.msn.com/general/Email. " When I went to the page mentioned, I
couldn't see anything to do with "Subscription" other than an invitation to
sign up for a Live Hotmail account, which I already have.

Help!

Find "Outlook Connector" and install it.

Google is your friend.

If you want a reliable connection to Hotmail (which says nothing about
the reliability of the Hotmail service itself) then pay for their
Premium service to grant you access to their mail host. Freebie
account, as you have already seen per the error message that you got,
require a subscription (PAY FOR IT) after November 2004.

Otherwise, you could try downloading their Outlook Connector plug-in
and hope it works.

I have several "freebie" hotmail accounts and they are still free and
several were setup after 2004.

And you are using Outlook - and WITHOUT the Outlook Connector
plug-in - to access them? If so, you are blessed. The rest of us
cannot get WebDAV access to Hotmail for freebie accounts created after
Nov 2004, and some of us that had accounts created before that and got
grandfathered in (so you kept the WebDAV access) ended up losing that
access when we switched to the Windows Live interface (and did not
switch back to the classic interface before the option to do so had
disappeared).
