Can I delete this folder?

I am running XP Home. I found a folder in my Program Files called Symantec
which contains "Live Update". I do not have any Symantec products. Could
this be something related with Windows Update or can I safely uninstall
"Live Update"?

Look-see if it has any files inside. If so, what are the dates on them. If any are recent you may want to determine what is changing/adding them. If not, and you are sure you have no Symantec products - Delete it!

Just rename it for a week or so. If no problems, then
delete it. Play it safe.

Your computer probably shipped with a trial version of Symantec Norton
Antivirus. If you do not use it, just delete it.

That's what I've done. But thought to ask the experts who know more.

That is what I think it was. I uninstalled Symantec's Norton Antivirus long
ago. Annoying that the uninstall did not uninstall this too.
