can I delete these files

Hi there hope some one can advise me please,I have some files NPF and
NAV that seem to be to do with norton antivirus,although I do not hav
norton now to use. The files were created 2004 and I must have got ri
of Norton some time after that I don't remember .My question is will i
be safe for me to delete them(I found them hidden in my un used deskto
thingy) also there is a cd start ver 7.0 Symantec corp. that I don
know what it is,do I need it can this be deleted also.I'm sorry if
sound a numpty...but I realy am 1.Any help thankfully recieved.

Hello,it had some reference to Norton,I have deleted all now and seem
to be all ok,thanks for the reply,was begining to think Iwas all alon
here...now I just need to create some more space...and figure out ho
to use this forum correctly...have a good day .Telling me my messag
too short,please lengthen to at least 10 characters...don't get it.
